Unsung Heroes

Every year it takes lots of people to plan, coordinate and make the rally happen.  Our thanks to those folks for their time and effort in making the 2010 rally the best ever.

Another Great Year!

– Thanks to each and everyone of you that made this year’s rally the biggest and best ever!!!!

– Talking to many many people including you, the FPD, Vendors and attendees, it appears that attendance was at an all time high this year.  When asked about attendance, Nelson Driver the BBB Event Director commented, “we had a bunch and then some.”

– Over the next few weeks we will be paying the bills and expect that to begin making grants to local charities at the end of November.

– If you have pictures for the website, put them on our facebook page and we will post: BBB facebook.

– We have updated the website with new information, pictures and the names of the winners of the different events:

Last Day of BBB 2010

– Friday attendance was like a usual BBB Saturday night.  The rally was packed with more bikes and people than ever before.

  • The Sam’s Club People’s Choice Tasting was sold out with all 3,000 tasting kits purchased.
  • Friday’s Poker Run had the most ever with 600 bikes.
  • The motorcycle companies (Harley, Star & Can-Am) reported more people participating in demo rides that in previous years.

– Beer Gardens open at 8:00 am today.

– Music:

  • Dickson – 2:30 pm with FOS Projects
  • Baum – 2:00 pm with Minus Bob
  • Fairgrounds – 8:00 pm with Ruckus
  • The AMP – 7:00 pm with The Black Crowes

– Check-in for Saturday’s Poker Run begins at 7:30 am at the Tyson Track Center. First Bike out at 8:30 am.

– Stokes Air Battle of the Bikes will be staged at the Main Stage on Dickson Street. Registration at 8:00 am. Contest starts at 11:00 am. Final Battle at 2:00 pm.

– Train service between Dickson Street and Baum Stadium begins today at 10:00 am from Dickson and 10:30 am from Baum.

– Parade of Power staging will be in UofA parking Lot 56 at 3:00 pm.  The Parade will start at 4:00 pm.

– Miss BBB Final tonight at 11:30 pm, along with the winner of the Bike Raffle announced, at the Main Stage on Dickson Street.

– Motorcycle Demo Rides start at Baum Stadium at 9:00 am.

– Jeep Rock & Road Tour starts at Baum Stadium at 9:00 am.

– Harley Owners Group (HOG) Pins Stop starts at Baum Stadium at 9:00 am.

– Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too opens at 11:00 am at the AMP (NWA Mall).

– BBQ Awards Ceremony at the Washington County Fairgrounds at 3:00 pm.

Great Music and Entertainment at Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too

For the second year, BBB is teaming up with Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too to bring even more fun and excitement to the rally.

Friday rock out to Pat Travers & Rick Derringer and Saturday night The AMP presents the Black Crowes.  Tickets start at only $10.

Located at the Arkansas Music Pavilion (AMP), at the NWA Mall, this event has lots to see and do like: a classic car show on Saturday, free tours of the Gibson Guitar museum bus and  a kids play area with human bowling, trike races and a climbing wall.

BBHRT also has the Crown Royal Corral where you can have a cocktail for only $5 & beer for only $4, lots of food, games & prizes and hear some great blues bands Friday from 1-7 pm.  BBHRT also features many classic car/hot rod builders, free demo rides from Boss Hoss motorcycles and now you can see the beautiful Bourget choppers and meet Brigitte Bourget herself.

Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too

Day 3 of BBB

– The general feeling is that yesterday was the largest crowd we have ever had on Day 2.  The rally promises to be the biggest ever!

– There is now FREE motorcycle parking at University Baptist Church Student Activity Center. UBC is located just off West Lafayette Street in Fayetteville.

– Beer Gardens open at 10:00 am today. – Music is primarily focused on Blues band today:

  • Dickson – 2:30 pm with Earl’s Garage
  • Baum – 2:00 pm with Cathead Biscuit
  • Fairgrounds – 5:00 pm with Metro Park
  • The AMP – 7:00 pm with Pat Travers & Rick Derringer

– Check-in for Friday’s Poker Run begins at 7:30 am at the Tyson Track Center. First Bike out at 8:30 am.

–  Sam’s Club People’s Choice BBQ tasting starts at the Washington County Fairgrounds at 6:30 pm.  Tasting kits are $6 (includes parking).  Tickets go on sale at 8:00 am today at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

– The American Hell Riders will be performing with their Wall of Death at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

– Train service between Dickson Street and Baum Stadium begins today at 11:00 am from Dickson and 11:30 am from Baum.

– Miss BBB Preliminary tonight at 10:30 pm at George’s on Dickson Street.

– Motorcycle Demo Rides start at Baum Stadium at 9:00 am.

– Jeep Rock & Road Tour starts at Baum Stadium at 9:00 am.

– Harley Owners Group (HOG) Pins Stop at starts at Baum Stadium at 9:00 am.

– Joe Martin, of Martin Bros Bikes, is known as one of the top custom motorcycle builders in the world today. Come check him out at Baum Stadium, or see him during one of his appearances at the Main Stage Area on Dickson Street.

– Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too opens at 11:00 am at the AMP (NWA Mall).
